B.I.C'S 5TH ANNUAL FISHING DERBY

Brewed in Canada Raises $56,000

Team Brewed in Canada took to the ball field on July 20th & 21st for the wooden bat tournament, Bats for a Cause in support of BC Children's Hospital. There we battled in the Kelowna heat (among 27 other teams) and received the trophy for Most Funds Raised by a Team. Bringing $36,000 to Bats For a Cause from the 4th Annual Fishing Derby and donating to a triple match campaign on Mother's Day, the team generated $56,000 for the BC Children's Hospital Foundation.

This is all thanks to the anglers, sponsors and donors. We are grateful to all of you who continue to support our fundraising efforts. Over the past 4 years we have raised over $140,000! We look forward to our 5th Annual Fishing Derby in Spring of 2025!!

We would like to introduce our first sponsor for B.I.C’S 5th Annual Fishing Derby! Angela Burnell is the co-founder of Bats For A Cause (which is how we started our fundraising efforts for BC Children's Hospital and has supported our fishing derby each year as an angler. Although her biggest catch so far has been a foot long sub we are beyond grateful for Angela’s continued support.
